Father, May I?

Walking in the park the other day, I noticed that everyone had passed me by. It happened before, but this time, I wondered – was I always this slow? Then it dawned on me. In 2005 after major back surgery, I had to learn to walk again. Baby steps were giant achievements back then. I was determined to recover, and I did.

Fast forward, 13 years later, at the park, I didn’t realize that I was still taking baby steps. In my early days of recovery from the surgery, I had no other choice. I had to take it slow. The journey was hard but I didn’t want to get stuck so I pressed forward, looking to God for help and strength. With each new challenge, as if I was a child again, I asked,
“Father May I?” “Yes, baby girl, you may. I’ve got you – that’s exactly what I am calling you to do right now.”
Two years ago, when my world imploded, I had to learn to live whole and joyful again. I had to learn to forgive again, to trust again, and to find purpose again. I struggled to take baby steps in response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and when I asked Him,
“Father, may I?” (which was more often groaning andi
tears than words, and more often my thoughts
were “Father, how CAN I?” … not “may I?”).

He still answered me, “Yes, P31 Warrior, you can, and you may. I’ve got you, and that’s exactly what I am calling you to do right now.”
At the park the other day, He told me it’s time to start taking some spiritual GIANT STEPS! I asked Him,
“Father, must… I mean, MAY I?” He answered, “Yes, P31 Warrior, you may, and you can, and It’s time. I’ve got you, and that’s exactly what I am calling YOU to do, RIGHT NOW.”

WHAT GIANT STEP IS HE CALLING YOU TO TAKE RIGHT NOW, p31 HEALING WARRIOR?
HOW ARE YOU RESPONDING?
